Founded in 1999, EPS (Egg Production Systems) is a French manufacturer based in Brittany and part of the Gilac Group. Specialising in food-grade plastic injection, we have been designing and producing reusable transport solutions for eggs — trays, dividers and pallets — for more than 25 years.

1999 – The birth of a benchmark
EPS launches the first rigid food-grade plastic egg tray.
Safer, reusable and more durable, it quickly became the market reference and a sustainable alternative to cellulose. -
2010 – A complete system
The range is expanding with the addition of dividers and pallets. EPS now offers an integrated egg transport system designed for stability, hygiene and mechanisation.

2024 – EPS joins the Gilac Group
EPS becomes Egg Production Systems, a brand of the Gilac Group. This merger with a long-established French expert in food-grade plastics strengthens our capacity for innovation and our commitment to a more sustainable industry.

Since 1941, Gilac has been designing and manufacturing durable food-grade plastic containers for professionals in France.
Based in the heart of the “Plastics Valley”, the company first became a leader in the catering industry before expanding its expertise to food processing, agriculture, poultry production and horticulture.

By integrating EPS and other reference companies such as SPID (specialising in the design of rigid seed trays for horticulture), Gilac has become a strong, family-owned group, combining industrial strength with the agility and proximity of an SME.
